Living and working in New Orleans means working hard so you can play even harder. But why should weekends  have all of the fun? An extensive list of local restaurants offering happy hours - some lasting as late as 7 p.m. and on the weekends, too - are the perfect excuse to gather with co-workers and friends over some early evening priced-just-right bites and drinks. Here are over 10 New Orleans restaurants offering excellent happy hours with food and drink options that are light on the price but generous on flavor and fun.

Top 10 New Orleans Happy Hours

Domenica – One of the best-known deals in town is the John Besh restaurant’s happy hour with half-priced pizzas, wines by the glass, well cocktails and beers. Try a classic margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil for $6.50; the Calabrese with spicy salami, capers and Castelvetrano olives for $7.50; or the Wild Mushroom with fontina, caramelized onions, bacon and yard egg for $9. Happy Hour: Daily; 2-5 p.m.

Luke – Have oysters on the brain? Join the crowd at Besh’s brasserie-inspired restaurant located on St. Charles Avenue in the CBD for 50-cent raw and $1 fried oysters. And since nothing goes better with oysters than ice cold wine and beer, Luke offers half-priced wines by the glass, beer and well cocktails. Happy Hour: Daily; 3-6 p.m.

Pizza Domenica – The sister restaurant to Domenica has opened up Uptown on Magazine and also offers half-priced pizzas from 2-5 p.m. in addition to these daily drink specials: Monday: Half price pitchers of beer; Tuesday: $15 specialty cocktail pitchers; Wednesday: Half price bottles of wine; Thursday: Half price wine by the glass; Friday: Half price bottles of beer; Saturday: $3 house brand drinks; Sunday: Half price draft beer. Happy Hour: Daily, 2-5 p.m.
